Implementing NECPs effectively - Multi-stakeholder online dialogues in Hungary, Spain and Italy
These multi-stakeholder online dialogues will bring together representatives from the national government, local authorities and civil society to discuss the potential ways forward in strengthening the implementation of the 2030 national energy and climate plans (NECPs), in particular in the transport, buildings and agriculture sectors. The webinars will also explore the role of the NECPs in the national recovery and resilience policies.

Representatives from the LIFE PlanUp project will give an overview of the NECPs’ role in delivering the new EU flagship initiative, the European Green Deal. Furthermore, experienced local authorities and civil society organisations will identify barriers to effective NECP implementation in the transport, buildings and agriculture sectors and propose ways to overcome these barriers. They will also present ideas for strengthening the linkages between the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs), developed under the Covenant of Mayors initiative, and the NECPs.
